First Time - what to expect
Parking? There is parking in the back of the church as well as angle in parking on all of the streets around the church.
Kids? We love children! They will act like children and that is good. We encourage children in worship. However, if your child is being a child and acting up, there is a cry room in the back of the church. It has sound and a window so you can be with you child and not miss a thing.
Sunday school? is on Sundays at 9:45am. The Sunday school area is down the hall, past the coffee area and down a half flight of stairs, someone will be ready to greet your child and you. Your child will learn about stories in the Bible and how Jesus loves them. You are always welcome in the classroom. All teachers go through a background check and follow guidelines meant to protect your child.
What to wear? People wear everything from suits and dresses to shorts and t-shirts. At the early service the pastor wears kaki's and dress shirt. At the late he wears a robe.
What are the worship services like?
8:30am is less formal. We start by singingcontemporary songs, (all the songs are up on the tv screens), hear the lessons for the day, the kids come forward for a short puppet show, after the pastor preaches for 15 - 20 minutes, then some prayers, an offering is taken (as our guest please just let the plate pass by).
The 11:00 a.m. is more traditional and acoustic. For those who like a quieter intimate worship service, this could be for you!
Communion is open and all are welcome whether a member or not.
There is both bread and wine or grape juice), after communion a final song. The service lasts around an hour.
